Accountant Employment Type Permanent Location MISSISSAUGA, Ontario Apply SHARE THIS JOB Job Description: Our client is growing and within the software space. They are looking for an Accountant to join their team. The role will be responsible for some general ledger and reconciliations, processing vendor invoices, making payment, and other matters as well. This is a great role for an up and coming professional eager for growth and development. Responsibilities of the Accountant is as follows but not limited to: Review all vendor invoices for appropriate documentation. Maintain electronic files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices. Respond to all vendor inquiries. Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies. Processing accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures. Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables data. Preparing payables and invoices for daily completion. Prepare bank deposit for completion by supervisor. Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted. Verify discrepancies and resolve clients billing issues. Request statements from vendors to verify all invoices have been received. Download of payroll information from vendor and interfacing with general ledger to ensure funding of payroll prior to pay date. Processing and calculating commission. Prepare and post payroll journal entries each month in NetSuite. Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including making monthly adjustments for purchases and depreciation. PO processing. Process and approve expenses on Concur. Assist with other projects as needed. TMGNY Job Requirements: Degree in Accounting (or related field) or equivalent experience. Understanding of basic accounting principles, journal entries, account reconciliations, and chart of accounts. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail with consistent follow-through; proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines required. Strong written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, internally and externally. Possess the capacity to be a team player or independent contributor, as needed. Detail-oriented with the ability to suggest solutions to problems. A self-starter, highly responsive and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced and collaborative environment. Experience with Oracle NetSuite, ADP , Concur, Salesforce and Spiff a plus but not required. Proven ability to adapt easily to new technology.
