Opportunity Alberta Health Services (AHS) is looking for a dependable, highly motivated individual for the position of Environmental Services II (cleaner/housekeeper) dedicated to highquality work and safety. Description This casual position is located at the Leduc Community Hospital. The Environmental II position is responsible for routine and isolation cleaning protocols, disinfecting patient rooms, clinical spaces, common areas, floor maintenance and assigned medical equipment, and manual material handling on a daily basis within healthcare facilities, in accordance with Alberta Health Services standards and practices. Work involves interaction with patients, staff and visitors. Nonroutine and deep cleaning tasks and use of powered industrial equipment are also required. Shift schedules may include a combination of day, evening, night, and weekend shifts. Classification & Details Classification: Environmental II Union: AUPE GSS Unit and Program: Linen and Environmental Services Primary Location: Leduc Community Hospital MultiSite: Not Applicable FTE: 0.00 Employee Class: Casual/Relief Hours per Shift: Varies Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, On Call Minimum Salary: $20.06 Maximum Salary: $21.93 Qualifications Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Knowledge and operation of a computer including Microsoft Office. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and perform repetitive movements for the duration of your shift. Physically capable of lifting, pushing and pulling up to 30 lbs of force. Minimum 1 year of previous experience performing environmental cleaning duties in a hospital or institution. Ability to operate a smartphone device and basic computer knowledge to access email. Read, write, speak, understand, and follow written and oral directions in English. Dependable, thorough, able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work with chemical cleaners. Ability to operate powered industrial equipment. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs of force frequently. All new employees will be required to attend a 4day Environmental Services Orientation and a 1day AHS Orientation. Preferred Qualifications Previous knowledge and application of WHMIS. Experience with Ergonomics and Workplace Health and Safety courses. Experience operating and maintaining various industrial equipment (e.g., autoscrubber, burnisher). Experience with floor refinishing, including stripping and waxing. #J-18808-Ljbffr
