Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Consultant to drive the adoption and sales of Eli Lillys cardiometabolic health portfolio across the Mississauga and Brampton territories. This role requires strong relationship-building with healthcare professionals, clinical and scientific understanding, and the ability to execute strategic territory plans that improve patient outcomes. At Lilly Canada, Sales Consultant positions are structured into three levels based on the candidates experience, background, and qualifications. For transparency, the ranges for this position are: Associate Sales Consultant: $69,000 - $101,200 Sales Consultant: $81,000 - $118,800 Sr Sales Consultant: $96,000 - $140,800 This role is eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as participation in the Lilly Sales Incentive Program and car allowance. This posting is for an existing vacancy. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive territory business plans to achieve and exceed sales targets for cardiometabolic products. Build, cultivate, and sustain strong, credible relationships with family physicians, specialists, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in hospitals, clinics, and community practices. Communicate complex clinical and scientific information effectively, demonstrating strong knowledge of Lillys cardiometabolic portfolio, disease states, and therapeutic positioning. Identify customer needs and deliver tailored, value-added solutions using a needs-based customer interaction model and multi-channel engagement strategies. Demonstrated digital fluency with the ability to leverage omnichannel engagement strategiesincluding virtual platforms, CRM systems, and data-driven insights toolsto deliver personalized, high-impact customer interactions and optimize territory performance. Analyze territory data, market trends, and competitive insights to inform strategy, optimize resource allocation, and maximize performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teamsincluding Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and internal partnersto ensure a coordinated customer experience. Manage territory resources and budgets responsibly while adhering to company policies, compliance standards, and ethical guidelines. Maintain accurate customer records and timely documentation through CRM systems such as Veeva. Actively participate in regional and national meetings, training programs, and industry conferences. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Science, Business, or a related field. 35+ years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience, with a preference for experience in cardiometabolic, diabetes, or related therapeutic areas. Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in competitive markets. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders. Strong business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make sound strategic decisions. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while contributing effectively to team success. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems (e.g., Veeva), and data insights tools (IQVIA, Tableau). Valid drivers license with a clean driving record; ability to travel throughout the Mississauga/Brampton territory. Knowledge of the Canadian healthcare system and pharmaceutical landscape is an asset. Experience working with specialists and thought leaders is advantageous. Additional Skills & Attributes Strong digital fluency, including comfort using an iPad as a core daily tool. Demonstrated ability to develop strong customer relationships and deliver exceptional customer experiences. High learning agility, adaptability, and a strong growth mindset. Recognized strengths in leadership, teamwork, and customer focus. Experience engaging regional and national thought leaders is an asset. Actual compensation will depend on a candidates education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $75,000 - $149,600. Full-time equivalent employees may also be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
