Job Description - Mine Maintenance Lead Hand (Welding) (DET00427) Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Welding Supervisor, you will be part of the Mobile Maintenance Department. You will be responsible for providing support to the Mobile Maintenance team by being accountable for directing the workforce in daily maintenance and repair of all mining and mobile equipment, while ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory procedures. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagles values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment. Responsibilities Must be interpret inside and outside micrometer readings and have a good understanding of measurement techniques, reading of drawings and tolerances. Operate manual or semiautomatic flame cutting, brazing, and soldering equipment. Perform structural welding repairs to mining equipment and parts> Design and fabricate metal components as required. Properly follow Companys policies and the Occupational Health & Safety Regulations for safe working procedures and environment. Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work area. Lead and coach team members in the achievement of maintenance safetyli> Ensure that safety issues are reported to the supervisor and promptly remediated. What You Need to Succeed Ontario provincial or interprovincial (Red Seal) trade certificate is preferred. 10 years experience in a maintenance capacity. 25 years experience in a supervisory and/or lead hand role. A general understanding of computers; Microsoft Outlook. Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team of employees. Experience with openpit mining equipment, with electrical shovels and drills, is a strong asset. Experience working at a remote work site is an asset. Work Schedule Schedule: 14/14 schedule at Detour Lake Mine. Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Compensation Statement In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity.
