Overview Employer Industry: Home Improvement Services Why consider this job opportunity: Salary up to $286,000 for candidates in Ontario and British Columbia Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in backend infrastructure Flexibility to work remotely Chance to make a significant impact on backend engineering processes Supportive and collaborative environment with opportunities for mentorship and community engagement Focus on long-term career growth and professional development Responsibilities Own the end-to-end health of Go build and verification pipelines, ensuring performance, reliability, and flakiness reduction Define and implement backend CI/CD failure visibility and debugging workflows Improve local backend development workflows to enhance feedback loops and reduce reliance on staging deploys Establish and enforce Go platform standards and documentation expectations Partner with Platform Engineering and other infrastructure teams to align backend infrastructure with existing platforms Qualifications Experience owning and improving CI/CD systems for large, shared codebases Strong proficiency with Go and familiarity with Go build, test, and verification workflows Ability to diagnose and address reliability and performance issues in infrastructure systems Experience working in shared ownership environments and establishing clear platform boundaries Ability to operate with focused scope and deliver high-leverage improvements as an early team member Preferred Qualifications Experience improving developer experience through tooling, workflow design, or platform standards Comfort working on platform-oriented problems rather than feature-oriented product work We prioritize candidate privacy and champion equal-opportunity employment.
