Position Overview We are seeking dynamic, experienced, and professionally certified Secondary Math Teachers to join our international teaching team for the 202627 academic year. Successful applicants will teach within our International Secondary Program, delivering high-quality instruction aligned with either the Common Core framework or the Oxford International Curriculum, as assigned by the school. Teaching allocations may include general Secondary Math and related programme-aligned courses, depending on timetable and curriculum requirements. Deliver Secondary Level Math instruction within the International Program, aligned with the Common Core and/or Oxford International Curriculum, as assigned by the school. Teach Secondary Mathematics and related programme-aligned courses, as required by timetable and curriculum needs. Teach up to 30 teaching periods per week, plus 2 fixed ECA or tutorial periods (40 minutes per period). Operational flexibility: adjust schedules occasionally to meet school needs, including covering classes for colleagues when necessary. Lesson planning: access to quality resources to support lesson planning and student engagement. Non-contact time: free periods for lesson planning, administrative tasks and covering. Attend annual parent-teacher meetings as scheduled. Collaborate with local teachers to communicate with parents about academic and social matters, including follow-ups on reports and during parent-teacher meetings. Regularly update student progress each quarter in our LMS system. Ensure a purposeful and safe learning environment for all students. Provide regular, constructive feedback on the effectiveness of the curriculum and teaching materials. Attend and participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events. Job Requirements Qualifications A university degree in Mathematics or a closely related field (e.g. Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics) A recognised professional teaching qualification or licence (e.g. PGCE, QTS, Teaching License) Preference will be given to candidates with a Master degree At least two years of post-qualification teaching experience at the Secondary level in a recognized school setting (international, bilingual, or mainstream) Fluent English Speaker (Minimum C1 Fluency) For non-native English speakers: a valid IELTS certificate (minimum overall score 8.0 or above) or an accepted equivalent English proficiency qualification is required at the time of application Demonstrated ability to manage a Secondary classroom effectively and deliver structured, age-appropriate learning Experience applying 21st-century teaching practices, including differentiated instruction and student-centered learning approaches Competence in educational technology, including the use of digital tools and interactive presentations Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and parents Safeguarding and Student Safety UTS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
