Job Description The Senior Operations Manager provides strategic oversight of commercial geochemistry laboratory operations. This role leads initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance. The Senior Manager aligns laboratory performance with organizational goals and fosters cross-functional collaboration. Provides strategic oversight and planning for laboratory services Manages larger, more complex budgets and resource allocation across multiple areas Oversee multiple laboratory departments and teams Develops and implements high-level laboratory policies, strategies, and long-term operational plans Mentors and develop Laboratory Managers and other senior staff Lead major laboratory projects and initiatives (e.g., new technology implementation, facility expansion) Ensure overall laboratory performance meets organizational goals and regulatory requirements across all managed areas Evaluates and facilitates the adoption of new technologies, methodologies, or services Manages relationships with key vendors, service providers, or strategic partners Analyzes performance data to identify strategic trends and areas for significant operational improvement or investment Performs other duties as required Qualifications Bachelor''s Degree in a scientific discipline an equivalent combination of education and experience 7 to 10 years of relevant analytical laboratory experience, with proven success in strategic planning, compliance, and mentoring managers Expert working knowledge of the mining and minerals industry. Strong leadership and management skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and manage people. Superior organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are essential. A sense of diplomacy and networking skills are essential to build relationships with external clients as well as key internal personnel. Excellent customer service, client support, and business service consulting skills. Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel. PowerPoint, Outlook). Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment. Ensures full compliance with the company''s Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies. Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
