City Of Kenora Recreation Division Summer Student Day Camp Counsellor Open Until Filled The City of Kenora is looking for students for summer employment This is your chance to be part of a dynamic and innovative team of professionals who work hard to ensure the best possible experience for all of our residents and visitors. This position will deliver the programming and activities for the City''s Summer Day Camp program. Duties include developing the activities in conjunction with the Community Program Supervisor, ensuring the safety of children during camp hours and completing all required documentation for Day Camp programs. The position will be expected to respond to enquiries and complaints and provide superior customer service as required. Qualifications: Must be a full-time student in the school year at a secondary or post-secondary education institution and be returning to school full-time for the school season Must be available to attend and complete mandatory safety training and orientation Experience working with children would be an asset Have an interest in recreation and working with children Must be able to work outdoors Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications Possess good communication skills with ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent customer service skills & interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with the public with tact and diplomacy Valid standard First Aid or AED training required Hours: hours per week Monday to Friday. Length of employment is approximately 8-9 weeks Start Date: Starting mid-June Rate: $19.33/hr Students will be required to provide the City with a clean vulnerable sector criminal record check and proof of enrolment if successful in a summer position with the City of Kenora.
