Position Overview: As the Senior Director, Human Resources for President''s Choice Financial & Services (PCF&S), you will be a strategic leader, responsible for developing and driving Human Resources Business Partnering for the business unit. Reporting to the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) you will serve as a trusted advisor to the PCF&S executive leadership team, translating business objectives into a clear, systematic, and impactful HR strategy. You will lead and direct all facets of HR Business Partnering for PCF&S, ensuring the effective implementation of HR initiatives that attract, develop, engage, and retain top talent. What You''ll Do: Lead the end-to-end HR aspects for M&A integration, including integration planning to talent retention and successful organizational alignment. Develop, lead, and drive the overall HR strategy and tactical direction for PCF&S, encompassing talent management, succession planning, recruitment, colleague development, total rewards, performance management, organization design and effectiveness, and colleague engagement. Serve as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to the PCF&S executive leadership team on all people and organizational issues, influencing business decisions and ensuring alignment of HR strategy with business goals. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of HR professionals, including direct reports in HR Business Partnering and fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Accountable for developing and implementing robust strategies to attract key talent into PCF&S, as well as fostering programs for the retention, development, and succession planning of high-potential and high-performing colleagues. Drive initiatives crafted to increase colleague engagement, improve labour productivity, enhance recruitment and retention experience, and optimize organizational design within PCF&S. Responsible for the development and deployment of progressive HR strategies, programs, and policies tailored to the unique needs of the financial services industry, in partnership with HR Centres of Excellence (COEs). Lead the development and implementation of Change Management initiatives, ensuring successful adoption and integration within PCF&S. Oversee the development, management, and support for the implementation of leadership development and management training programs that enhance organizational performance and alignment across PCF&S. Partner with PCF&S business leadership to set and manage the HR budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation to achieve people strategy objectives. Represent the PCF&S HR function on cross-functional committees and enterprise-wide strategic business initiatives, advocating for the needs of the PCF&S colleagues and business. Ensure adherence to all relevant employment standards legislation, regulatory requirements, and HR best practices, with a strong understanding of financial sector specific regulations. What You''ll Need: Post-secondary education in Business, Human Resources, or a related field, preferably with a CHRP or CHRL designation. A post-graduate degree is an asset. 10+ years of progressive experience leadership experience in Human Resources, with a significant portion in a strategic HR Business Partnering role within a complex, large-scale organization, ideally within the financial services sector. Demonstrable ability to translate complex business initiatives and financial performance indicators into a clear, consistent, and systematic HR Strategy that drives tangible business outcomes. Exceptional communication (written, oral, and presentation) and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence, negotiate, and build strong, trusted relationships with senior executives and across all organizational levels. Superior leadership, strategic thinking, and project management skills, coupled with a highly collaborative, proactive, and results-oriented approach. Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and mentor high-performing HR teams and successfully deliver complex objectives and strategic projects on time and within budget. Proven judgment, decision-making, and cooperative problem-solving skills, especially in ambiguous or high-stakes situations. Strong financial acumen and demonstrated ability to partner with business leaders on budget management and understanding the financial impact of HR decisions. Deep knowledge of HR related principles, best practices, employment standards legislation, and other regulatory requirements, particularly those relevant to the financial services industry.
