Overview Position Summary... Working as a Consumables Associate at Walmart Canada is a great way to develop your skills in the retail industry. The Consumables Associate is a customer service champion that contributes to the high-volume, fast-paced flow of merchandise from the backroom to the salesfloor. This Associate will function as part of a team to stock and process merchandise and assist customers with their shopping needs, all in a safe and clean environment. What you''ll do Greet all customers in a polite and friendly manner. Assist customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and helping with purchase decisions. Resolve customer issues and refer concerns to management where appropriate. Maintain salesfloor presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up and maintaining product displays, signing and pricing merchandise. Ensure proper handling of claims and returns, secure merchandise, identify high shrink items and maintain a safe work environment per company policies and procedures. Receive and stock merchandise, utilize equipment appropriately, complete required paperwork, logs and other documentation. Refer appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager as required. Stock merchandise/picks, downstock if applicable. Apply product protection as needed. Set and complete modulars, including flex modulars and set new shelf caps. The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.00. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
