Overview Faculty/Academic Area: Faculty of Science Department : Chemistry Campus: Waterloo Employee Group: WLUFA Requisition ID: 10605 WILFRID LAURIER UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF SCIENCE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AND BIOCHEMISTRY The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for a Tenure-Track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Biochemistry (broadly defined) beginning July 1st, 2026, subject to budgetary approval. The primary campus location for this position is The Waterloo Campus; however, teaching responsibilities may include instruction at the Brantford or Milton campuses via in-person or virtual delivery. Anticipated Salary Range: $90,000 to $130,000. Actual salary to be commensurate with experience. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate courses in the Honours Biochemistry & Biotechnology program. Contribute teaching within the MSc in Chemistry and PhD in Biological and Chemical Sciences programs. Develop an active research program including supervision of undergraduate and graduate students. Attract external funding and contribute scholarly and/or professional activities. Contribute service to the University and academic community. Qualifications PhD in Biochemistry or a related area. Postdoctoral research experience is preferred.
