Responsibilities As a Parts Assistant at Premier Equipment, you will play a key support role in the efficient operation of our Parts Department. You will assist with receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and inventory management to ensure customers and internal teams have timely access to the parts and products they need. Your efforts will help maintain a smooth workflow, support sales and service teams, and contribute to an outstanding customer experience. This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a customer-first attitude. Assist with loading and unloading truck deliveries, including stock orders and internal courier shipments. Receipt and properly stock incoming parts shipments with accuracy. Follow up on shipment overages and shortages, reporting issues promptly to the Parts Manager. Pick and pack parts for transfers between locations. Assist with cycle counting of parts inventory to maintain accuracy. Handle parts returns in accordance with company policies. Replenish oil inventory from overflow stock areas. Support Parts Counter Sales by picking and packing customer orders or providing backup assistance. Assemble consumer products and fabricate hoses and cables as needed. Help maintain a clean and orderly Parts Department environment. Promote teamwork and a Customer First commitment across Branch and inter-Branch Sales, Parts, and Service departments. Perform other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager. Qualifications and Skills Basic knowledge of parts and machinery. Basic data entry and keyboarding skills. Proficiency with standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Familiarity with office and departmental procedures. Some understanding of mechanical and technical terms preferred. Ability to participate in rotating weekends and on-call schedules. Capability to perform some heavy lifting as required. Preferred Forklift license or certification is an asset. Previous experience in parts or inventory-related roles. Education High School Diploma or equivalent experience required. Physical Requirements Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, stocking, and moving parts. Capability to stand and walk for extended periods. Willingness to work rotating weekends and participate in on-call duties.
