Overview We are looking to hire a Dental Receptionist who has outstanding communication skills and can build & maintain long-term relationships with patients to make them feel welcomed & valued. Computer literacy is a must, as we operate digitally. The incumbent will need to have a good understanding of insurance plans, and a high level of confidence in making calls and scheduling appointments. Responsibilities Greeting and screening patients in a warm and welcoming manner Scheduling & confirming appointments and managing cancellations Obtaining insurance breakdowns Preparing and submitting predeterminations from treatment plans Verifying/reviewing completed procedures/ treatment plans with patients Collecting payments, and submitting insurance claims electronically using Dentrix Work with paperless systems to track and process patient records and appointments Managing accounts receivable Creating reports and working with them to book unscheduled treatment plans Coordinating referrals and communications with specialist offices Dealing with couriers and labs etc. Keeping track of supplies and ordering supplies as needed Making sure waiting room and reception area is clean and tidy Maintaining a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards patients Other general dental administrative work Qualifications 1-2 years of experience working in a dental office Sound knowledge of dental terminology Confident knowledge of Dentrix software Certification in office administration, medical administration, or related fields is preferable Other requirements Highly organized quick learner with analytical thinking that allows for effective teamwork Must be able to multi-task, be self-motivated and be able to work independently Punctual and reliable Must have excellent command of English (both oral and written) Dynamic, energetic, and professional personality is key Strong computer and Microsoft Office Suite skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
