The Opportunity The Managing Director, Family Office will play a pivotal role in leading and expanding our client''''s growing Family Office practice. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to HNW and UHNW families while driving business development, team leadership, and practice growth. This role offers the unique opportunity to join as a Managing Director, making it ideal for a senior professional ready to take on leadership responsibilities in a thriving, client-centric environment. What You''''ll Do: Client Advisory & Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted advisor deepening client relationships with HNW and UHNW families, overseeing their financial, tax, and investment affairs while delivering integrated advisory services including tax planning, investment strategy, estate structuring, and philanthropic planning. Investment Platform Management: Manage existing Investment Manager platform, liaising with portfolio managers for performance reporting, account opening documentation, and preparing investment portfolio asset allocation proposals and financial projections. Business Development & Growth: Growth mindset with an ability to transition client relationships or to bring an existing book of business. Additionally attract new clients to the platform while identifying cross-functional service opportunities aligned with growth objectives. Leadership & Practice Management: Mentor, coach, lead, and inspire team members while hiring and retaining exceptional talent, shaping the Family Office service model alongside peers. Strategic Collaboration: Build deep collaborative relationships across all service lines, contribute to firm-wide initiatives and strategic decision-making while operating with a forward-looking, big picture perspective. Thought Leadership: Participate in thought leadership, brand building, and external representation of the practice while managing practice operations including billing, WIP, resourcing, and KPIs. What You Bring: CPA designation preferred; additional credentials such as CFP, CFA, TEP are strong assets. 10+ years of experience serving HNW/UHNW clients with multi-disciplinary financial, tax, and investment advice, preferably in wealth management, family office, or related advisory roles. Proven track record building enduring client relationships with demonstrated creative and passionate client service mindset. Demonstrated ability to transition clients, or ideally bring a portfolio of existing client relationships. Exceptional analytical, strategic and problem-solving capabilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience with investment portfolio management, estate planning, and cross-functional advisory services considered strong assets however not a prerequisite.
