Our proprietary animal-free casein and precision fermentation platform are unlocking the mainstream potential of plant-based products, with a focus on hero applications like pizza and grilled cheese. The Opportunity We are at an exciting inflection point and are ready to scale. As we move from pilot to commercialization, were seeking a dynamic Director of Business Development to lead our go-to-market strategy and drive revenue growth. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-impact, mission-driven team and help define a new category in food tech. What Youll Do Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and outreach strategy targeting mid-sized organizations and key verticals Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, moving prospects from first contact to signed purchase orders Identify and engage key decision-makers through a mix of channels: LinkedIn, email campaigns, conferences, trade shows, and referrals Craft compelling messaging and sales collateral that highlights Aux Labs unique value proposition Coordinate product samples, technical support, and documentation to support the sales process Collaborate with internal teams, including a Sales Engineer/support staff, to deliver technical materials and R&D resources Report directly to the CEO and provide regular updates on progress toward commercial goals What Were Looking For Proven track record in business development or sales leadership, ideally in food tech, ingredients, or adjacent industries (recombinant proteins) Experience building and executing sales strategies from the ground up, especially in early-stage or high-growth environments Strong presence and credibility with customers; able to open doors and build trust quickly Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Strategic thinker who can also execute and drive results independently Technical aptitude or experience selling to technical buyers (e.g., CSOs, innovation managers) Bachelors degree required; advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus Location-flexible, but Toronto-based candidates or those willing to relocate will have priority Competitive Compensation: Receive a compensation package that recognizes your expertise and impact as we achieve our mission together.
