The Position The US National Sales Manager is responsible for building, executing, and optimizing the companys national sales strategy across representative groups, distributors, brokers, and direct customer channels. You will lead the development of annual sales plans, performance metrics, and corrective action plans while strengthening the companys presence in target regions. The role requires someone equally adept at strategic national account development and handson field support. You will be expected to identify market opportunities, support major customer initiatives, steer ERP/EDI adoption across rep groups, and serve as a senior commercial leader at industry events and customer meetings. Essential Functions (Other duties may be assigned): Develop the annual sales plan in partnership with the VP of Sales. Execute and monitor the sales plan through rep groups and direct sales channels. Establish sales KPIs and develop action plans to achieve targets. Recruit, manage, and support regional representative groups; fill gaps where representation is lacking. Provide ongoing inperson and virtual training to sales representatives. Liaise with distributor representatives to establish and service accounts. Support ERP and EDI initiatives and ensure adoption across rep groups. Lead participation in industry trade shows, events, and major customer meetings. Resolve retailer issues and customer complaints promptly. Conduct quarterly planning sessions on national accounts. Provide regular updates on existing and new customer opportunities. Identify and pursue new sectors and opportunities with existing clients. Qualifications 5+ years in a managerial or account management role. 5+ years of experience in the food service packaging sector (required). Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fastpaced, entrepreneurial environment. Strong organizational, leadership, and relationshipbuilding skills. Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle. Education and Experience Undergraduate degree or diploma, preferably in business management or business administration.
