About The Role Grade Level: 11 The Role: Lead Front End Developer The Team: The Ratings Division is looking to hire a Sr. FullStack Developer to lead handson development and provide designpattern insight. The S&P Global structuredfinance valuestream technology team in the Ratings Division consists of geographically diversified software engineers responsible for developing scalable solutions by working directly with productdevelopment teams. Responsibilities Develop web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and other opensource Java frameworks, RESTful web services. Enterpriselevel integrations using distributed streaming platforms, REST, OKTA, etc. Frontend development using React/Angular and MFE architectures. Database development on PostgreSQL, Oracle, and integrations with application services. Application containerization and deployments through CI/CD pipelines and AWS services such as S3, EKS, EC2. Write SQL queries and maintain a strong understanding of data models; Databricks knowledge is a plus. Deployment using containers. Infrastructure knowledge and exposure to CI/CD. Observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting using Splunk, ELK, Jaeger, etc. Prior development on Camunda or other opensource workflow tools. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum 7 years of engineering experience, including at least 1 year leading scrum teams. 3+ years of handson experience with Spring, RESTful services, Spring Boot, Spring JDBC, MVC, JSP, etc. Experience designing, architecting, and building microservicesbased distributed systems in a serverless environment (preferably container platforms). Strong knowledge of frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Ext JS. Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies. Familiarity with various database technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL) and data modeling. Experience with automated unittesting frameworks. Experience enforcing security, engineering principles, and quality standards. Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills. Design and maintain application architecture, including database schemas and API design. Proficiency in the development environment (IDE, web & application servers, Git, Azure DevOps, unittesting tools, defectmanagement tools). Knowledge of system architecture, objectoriented design, and design patterns. Location Toronto (Hybrid 23 days onsite) Compensation & Benefits 90k 135k CAD/year base compensation. Final base salary will be based on geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.
