Job Overview 2 female OBGYNs are seeking a highly organized and professional Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our team. Minimum 3 years experience is a must for this busy role. Excellent customer service skills, facility with Plexia or Accuro EMR are essential. Obstetrical or surgical booking experience are an asset. The successful candidate will be reliable, proactive and enjoy working in a team environment. Responsibilities * Manage front desk operations, including greeting patients and visitors with excellent phone etiquette * Handle phone calls, scheduling appointments, and answering inquiries promptly * Maintain accurate patient records through updating electronic health records * Maintain Outlook calendars of office, OR and on call duties for doctors * Provide customer support by addressing patient questions and concerns professionally * Assist with office management tasks to ensure a clean, efficient workspace that adheres to healthcare standards * Support office billing including verifying insurance information and processing payments Experience * Minimum 3 years MOA experience is required * Experience with Obstetrics and/or surgical booking is an asset * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook) * Proficiency in Plexia and or Accuro EMR * Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment * Knowledge of office calendar management is essential Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.5 per week Benefits: * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * Life insurance * Paid time off Application question(s): * Have you completed the Medical Office Assistant Program at BCIT/CDI or equivalent?
