Job title: Lead Fabricator Terms of employment: Full-Time, Salary Department: Mould Making ON Salary: $61,360/annum CAD Reports to: Saif Ghanim, Room Manager Application Deadline: 12:00pm EST on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 Location: Etobicoke, ON Shift: AM Shift (with PM shift/weekend flexibility) The Role: Lead Fabricator Availability: Full-time with an ability to work mornings, afternoons, and occasional overtime, holidays and weekends. Reporting to the Room Manager, the Lead Fabricator is the department supervisor responsible for leading day-to-day fabrication operations and supporting the team to safely and effectively meet production goals. The Lead Fabricator provides direct oversight to Fabrication Technicians and support roles, setting daily priorities, coordinating work, and fostering a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment. This role is accountable for coaching, mentoring, performance feedback, attendance oversight, and maintaining strong communication through daily check-ins and team meetings. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the Lead Fabricator supports administrative, planning, and inventory activities as required to ensure smooth department operations. This includes delegating tasks, adjusting schedules to address workflow constraints, supporting payroll and attendance inputs, and maintaining accurate inventory records and material availability. The Lead Fabricator may engage with production scheduling partners to communicate capacity changes, support daily production plans, and assist with inventory accuracy and reporting when needed. The Lead Fabricator also supports hands-on fabrication and equipment operation as needed, including the use and oversight of 3D printers, vacuum formers, click presses, and related tools, as well as basic equipment maintenance and quality checks. What You Do (Responsibilities): Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support a team of Fabrication Technicians, and other support groups in the department to ensure optimal team performance. Conduct and support in one on one conversations and documentation to promote staff engagement and sentiments. Recognize and celebrate team and individual achievements to maintain morale. Conduct team meetings to communicate daily goals, updates, and production challenges/ solutions. Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment. Administrative: Delegate tasks, set daily work schedules, and monitor production progress to ensure timelines are met. Identify bottlenecks, resolve workflow issues, and adjust schedules as needed. Address attendance, performance, safety, quality and behavioural gaps with clear guidance and actionable next steps. Document timely positive and opportunistic feedback on attendance, performance, safety, quality, and behaviour to team members to support their growth and development. Support in overall attendance tracking and payroll input to ensure accurate attendance records and timely payouts. Utilize softwares such as, but not limited to: spreadsheets, solidworks, AutoCAD, Preform, and Bambu Studios to create, manage, plan, and schedule operations. Planning: Engages with production rooms and Moulds leadership to develop the optimal sequence of operations, minimize changeover times, and appropriate batch sizes to maximize efficiencies. Proactively communicates with the Moulds leadership any room capacity changes, preventative maintenance windows, and labour/material constraints. Analyze the room''s performance to attainment and fulfillment and be part of the team to improve the process. Establish a weekly meeting with the Moulds leadership to ensure the schedules are accepted and all appropriate resources are in place for success. Generate daily production schedules and distribute to Moulds Leadership. As necessary revise, daily production plans based on changes in component / material availability or consumer demand. Ensure that production plans and schedules are set accurately to ensure optimized customer fulfillment and freshness while also maintaining appropriate safety stock levels Collaborate with Buying and Freight teams to ensure that necessary materials and components are available on time to meet production demands. Frequently communicate with rooms to ensure they have a good understanding of the schedule, and the priorities, to enable the right prioritization should any disruptions occur in production, particularly during extended shifts. Demonstrate continuous improvement abilities by reviewing processes and making refinements to continuously evolve effectiveness of Lush planning processes in conjunction with the rooms capacity and routes. Inventory: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory for the department. Work with Purchase Order and Transfer Order receivers to ensure lines are received and discrepancies are fixed and reported. Responsible for shipping and receiving of purchase orders and transfer orders. Monitor and maintain stock levels. Aid in production planning by ensuring materials are available. Ability to fix inventory using hand held scanners. Double check all incoming goods for quality and accuracy before receiving. Coach and train staff in relation to inventory best practices within the department. Compile and publish inventory reports. Manage inventory organization and labelling systems. Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are addressed and resolved. Lead monthly inventory cycle counts and ensure that all stock is counted and accounted for by month end. Execute year-end count; work alongside auditors to answer questions and facilitate audit. Operations: Perform and document routine cleaning, maintenance, and repairs on 3D printers to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime. Operate 3D printers to ensure the desired prints are formed successfully. Set up vacuum formers, clickpress, and related fabrication machines & equipment. Operate vacuum forming machine(s) to fabricate high quality moulds with RPET, BHIPS, and other industry standard materials. Operate click press machine(s) and other cutting tools including, but not limited to paper cutters and scissors to trim fabricated moulds to the desired specifications. Assemble, prepare, organize, and package finished moulds and other fabricated products for dispatching and/ or storing purposes. Dispatch pallets of mould orders utilizing pallet trucks, forklifts and similar equipment. Ship via carrier terminals when required to ensure timely delivery. Cut plywood and other forms of wood to produce the materials necessary for tooling fabrication. Mix and pour hardening and curing agents such as, but not limited to concrete and epoxy resin to form mould casts. Utilize power tools to shape and refine mould casts. Perform and document routine cleaning, maintenance, and repairs on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime. Report equipment malfunctions or issues to leadership and collaborate on resolution. Document production data, complete checklists, and submit reports to the RMT when needed. Collaboration: Collaborate with company support and third-party vendors to outsource specific fabrication tasks. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements. Collaborate with the Moulds leadership, teammembers, and support groups to align production goals with overall departmental objectives and to resolve production challenges. Contribute to a positive team environment focused on learning, safety, quality, and shared success. Supports new or returning staff as required with onboarding, demonstrations of daily duties and responsibilities while ensuring safety and SOP guidelines are being followed. Safety: Follow health and safety protocols, including the use of PPE and proper handling of materials and tools. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace. Document and report unsafe conditions or incidents to the appropriate personnel. Quality: Follow company standards,and guidelines procedures during all phases of production. Conduct quality checks at various stages of production to ensure compliance with product specifications. Document and report quality concerns to the appropriate personnel. Who you are (Qualifications): Required: Current Lush employee Currently working as a Fabrication Technician in the Moulds department Experience in progressive leadership and people management Experience leading a team of direct reports to achieve targets/goals/objectives Demonstrated ability to navigate conflict; able to objectively navigate through difficult conversations Demonstrated ability to give in-the-moment feedback and have performance conversations as needed Familiar with 3D printing, vacuum forming, or other mould fabrication technologies Basic technical skills related to equipment setup, operation, and troubleshooting Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect errors or defects Basic computer literacy for equipment controls and production reporting Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis throughout 8-hour shifts Comfortable working in a fast -paced, high-production environment Able to work with moderate noise levels and manufacturing equipment Experience successfully completing Lock Out / Tag out practices Preferred: Experience holding a leadership role within Lush Cosmetics Experience in a leadership role in a high volume environment Experience working in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment Technical aptitude/familiarity with machine processes Relevant work experience such as in a trade or machine operator Technical qualification/certification Computer proficiency, and familiarity with PLC controls Need help?
