The Opportunity: Toronto, ON Full Time: 40hr/week, no remote option Contract length : 4 months Expected start date: Tuesday, May 5th, 2026 Application Deadline: Feb 9th, 2026 The Role: GeoComply is looking for a high-energy, technically curious IT Special Projects Intern to join our team in Toronto . This isn''t a traditional helpdesk role; you will act as a Junior Product Manager within the IT organization. You will own cross-functional projects that integrate systems across Legal, HR, and Finance, helping our global teams work smarter and faster. Key Responsibilities: Lead Initiatives: Take ownership of ongoing coding projects specifically centered around our own coding tools (GeoCode, based on Claude), helping our teams ensure these systems remain robust and scalable. Cross-Functional Automation: Partner with high-level stakeholders in Legal, HR, and Finance to automate business-critical workflows. AI & LLM Implementation: Leverage LLM tools and advanced prompting to build knowledge bots and self-service solutions. Systems Integration: Design and maintain applications using REST APIs and SQL, ensuring data flows seamlessly across the organization. Ad-Hoc Projects: Stay adaptable and ready to pivot One day you might be building a dashboard in SQL, and the next, you''re optimizing an HR onboarding workflow. You''ll be given special, high-value projects outside the immediate scope of your role, a chance to explore new skills, test your limits, and adapt to new challenges across the business. Who You Are: Educated: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, IT, or Software Engineering. We are looking for ''Technical Generalists'' who understand how back-end systems connect. Communicative: You can take complex complex terms and explain them simply to stakeholders who may not be technical, and vice versa. Analytical: You are comfortable with data and you know how to turn raw information into a clean business document or dashboard. Adaptable: You thrive in an ad-hoc environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously. Initiative: You are curious, and eager to absorb information about new systems quickly. Proficient: You have knowledge of or experience with SQL, Version Control (Git), and MCP servers/LLM tools. Bonus Points if (this is for things that are NICE to have, but not needed): Customer Service or helpdesk experience. Working knowledge of REST APIs, automation and script writing experience Experience with JSM, Zapier, n8n,Portfolio of projects (personal or group) where you solved a real-world business problem using automation. What You Will Gain: Project Management Experience: Gain experience acting as a bridge between technical execution and business outcomes, managing projects and workflows from ideation to delivery. Exposure: Deliver projects for core business departments, working with leaders in Legal, HR, and Finance, giving you a broad view of how a cybersecurity unicorn operates. Autonomy: Develop and implement your own technical solutions to business problems, moving beyond helpdesk tasks into true systems engineering. Mentorship : Support, coaching, and feedback from experts in the IT, InfoSec, Cybersecurity, and Automation teams. $50,000 - $58,000 a year Salary Transparency and Equity: Our Early Career Salary ranges are set on a scale that depends on a selected candidate''s location, level of education achieved, and number of months of work experience relevant to the position prior to applying.
