By fostering collaboration across disciplines, the college supports innovative, large-scale research initiatives and integrated educational programs that span the full continuum of care and health promotion. The college includes the Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation, the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine, the Faculty of Nursing, the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, the School of Public Health, and the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry. Together, these units drive excellence in health sciences education, research, and clinical innovation, supporting the universitys broader mission to lead in discovery, learning, and the advancement of societal well-being for the decade ahead and beyond. Job Description Location - This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton. Reporting to the College General Manager in the College of Health Sciences (CHS), this position plays a key role in facilitating academic projects, issues and initiatives related to various administrative and academic matters across the CHS. The position works with academic leaders in the College to ensure academic priorities and initiatives are managed in a strategic and appropriate manner. Responsibilities Initiatives Management: Creates frameworks and terms of reference for the development of College academic initiatives. Conducts research to provide background, understand consequences and identify appropriate processes for the development of portfolio initiatives. Academic Governance Management: Ensures strategic and efficient management of program proposals, Calendar changes, Quality Assurance Reviews and accreditation reports. Creates document development plans for policy projects, including research, environmental scans, consultation and approval routing, and communication plans. Drafts policies and procedures. Provides strategic advice to policy developers in the portfolio on content and process related to policy development. Maintains a current project management file and workflow for policies and procedures. Qualifications Completion of University degree. Minimum of 5 years progressively responsible project management experience, with the ability to work independently within a large institutional environment with a variety of groups. Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior administration and with team members from a variety of disciplines. Application Instructions Please submit your resume and cover letter. The terms and conditions of this appointment are governed by Schedule F of the collective agreement between the Board of Governors of the University of Alberta and the Association of Academic Staff of the University of Alberta.
