The Opportunity Shape the World Around You As a Senior Mechanical Engineer for our Buildings team, youll apply your technical expertise to meaningful building systems projects that enhance comfort, sustainability, and performance in the communities we serve. Youll collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver innovative mechanical designs that meet client objectives and advance lowcarbon, futureready infrastructure. Your Impact Lead mechanical design delivery from concept through construction, ensuring technical excellence and seamless coordination across disciplines. Delegate to, support, and mentor junior and intermediate mechanical staff to grow team capability and strengthen technical delivery. Bring forward innovative solutions by leveraging internal expertsincluding WSPs Decarbonization Team and Digital Solutions Groupto implement technology that elevates design quality and project performance. Utilize industryleading mechanical engineering software and tools (including Revit) to produce accurate, highquality models, calculations, and technical documentation. Participate in client relationship development, contributing to proposals, presentations, and longterm business development activities. Manage project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring deliverables are met and financial targets maintained. Apply relevant codes, standards, and best practices (such as the National Building Code, ASHRAE, and NFPA) to ensure safe, compliant, and futureready engineering solutions. The Skills That Set You Apart You excel at leading and coordinating design teams, fostering collaboration, and providing meaningful technical mentorship. You hold a Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited institution and are registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA or another Canadian engineering regulator. You have strong handson experience with Revit and mechanical design tools used in building systems projects. You understand and apply industry codes and standards including NBC, ASHRAE, and NFPA. You are proficient with MS Office (Word & Excel) and skilled at producing clear, concise engineering documentation.
