Your impact We are looking for a driven and curious Senior Forensic Scheduler in Toronto to support major Transit and Rail projects. As a Forensic Scheduler within the delivery team, you will have a chance to contribute to the success of one of the largest programs in the world by providing forensic delay analysis of construction projects in dispute. The role will be based in Toronto and embedded within Jacobs team delivering services to a regional rail client. We''ll ask you to present analysis and conclusions at the Executive level and be able to defend against the challenge. You''ll ensure that the scheduling team maintains alignment with client objectives and nurtures the relationship with the client while maintaining Jacobs'' standards. By working with Project Schedulers, you''ll ensure that baseline contractor schedules accepted do not un-necessarily expose the client to future claims and support the client with forensic analysis of contractor schedules in the event of claim submissions. You''ll also be involved in preparing delay analysis, critical path analysis, and other performance reports and present them to the project delivery team in their regular progress meetings making recommendations for corrective actions. You''ll be a key contributor to analyzing schedule progress and performance, identifying potential risks and issues, and identify challenges to the project schedule as well facilitate their resolution and assure consistency and quality is adhered to. Key Responsibilities Perform forensic schedule analysis on baseline and updated schedules to assess the impact of delay events, disruptions, and changes on project milestones and completion dates Support the project Claims Team in the assessment of contractor claims, including extension-of-time requests, acceleration proposals, and time-related cost impacts in range of options for value stacks Review contractor early warnings, change notices, and variation proposals, providing objective time-impact assessments and recommendations Develop and run time impact analyses (TIA), windows analysis, and other recognized delay-analysis methodologies to support fair and evidence-based determinations for commercial settlements and value stacks Prepare clear, structured technical reports, timelines, and exhibits that explain the scheduling logic, critical path movements, and delay attribution in a way that is understandable to non-technical stakeholders Collaborate with Project delivery teams, commercial managers, and legal/claims professionals to align schedule findings with commercial and contractual positions Ensure that contractor schedules (baseline and updates) are contract-compliant, logically sound, and suitable for reliable delay and progress analysis Provide early warning insights to the team by identifying emerging risks, slippages, and trends in schedule performance, support proactive mitigation Support the negotiation of change orders and settlements by quantifying time impacts and advising on defensible positions Maintain robust audit trails and evidence (schedules, correspondence, progress records) to support potential dispute resolution, adjudication, or arbitration proceedings. Here''s what you''ll need Degree in Civil/ Construction Engineering or related field 10-15 years in Forensic Delay Analysis in Construction & engineering sector Forensic Scheduling Certification preferred Preferred Certifications, MRICS, MCIArb, MCIOB and a scheduling Certification Forensic scheduling techniques and contract management experience Strong analytical thinking and skills Proficiency in Primavera P6, spreadsheets/pivot tables and preferably Visio Ideally, You''ll Also Have Active membership in AACE, PSP, PMI, or similar association is a plus Prefer construction and rail experience but will consider strong candidates from other sectors An understanding of various types of construction contracts, e.g. AFP / P3, DB, Alliance or DBB projects Demonstrated experience and knowledge of very large, complex, multi-disciplinary rail and construction programs Experience working for a contractor and/or major consultancy Posted Salary Range Minimum 155,000.00 Posted Salary Range Upper 205,000.00 The base salary range for this position is $155,000.00 to $205, This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across Ontario, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
