Position Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist A part-time child and adolescent psychiatrist position is available with the Extensive Needs Service at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is an academic health science centre affiliated with the University of Toronto, Canadas largest pediatric rehabilitation hospital, and home to the Bloorview Research Institute. We serve young people from birth to 19 years old with disabilities, rehabilitation needs and complex health and developmental needs. The Extensive Needs Service (ENS) provides wrap-around and interprofessional services for children and youth with neurodevelopmental disabilities in Ontario who have co-occurring urgent medical, physical and mental health complexities and/or social vulnerabilities. The service is designed to reduce barriers to accessing timely, evidence-based, and trauma-informed treatment for some of the most vulnerable children in Ontario. ENS provides ambulatory treatment to children, youth and families who require an integrated approach across mental, behavioural and developmental health. The program provides a trauma-informed and compassionate approach. The clinical team includes a developmental pediatrician, nurse practitioner, registered nurses, OT, SLP, behaviour analysts, clinical pharmacy, coordinated service planning, registered dietitian and clinical psychology. Holland Bloorview, the Childrens Hospital of Eastern Ontario and McMaster Childrens Hospital are the three sites in Ontario leading this program funded by Ontarios Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. The FTE for this role will range from 0.2-0.4 FTE.
