Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, heavy equipment maintenance, and industrial machinery. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Experience with dealership operations, heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery is highly desirable. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals. Strong customer service skills are a plus, as this position may involve direct interaction with clients. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and industrial equipment including automobiles, heavy machinery, and farm equipment Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and system inspections Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose problems Repair or replace faulty components using welding or other specialized techniques when required Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications Assist in assembly or disassembly of mechanical systems as needed Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients Requirements Proven mechanic experience with automotive repair; dealership experience is preferred Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery Knowledge of HVAC systems, welding techniques, electrical systems, and schematics Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical components, and industrial machinery Experience working with industrial equipment or assembly processes is a plus Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Good communication skills for customer interactions and teamwork Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent Pay: $22.07-$43.28 per hour Expected hours: 50 per week Work Location: In person
