This role is central to Vaults commercial and corporate finance function and will be responsible for translating complex commercial contracts, legal terms, and tax credit structures into integrated financial models and decisionready insights. The successful candidate will be a handson individual contributor who takes full ownership of Vaults core development, valuation, and corporate rollup models. This role supports investment decisions, Board and investor materials, and commercial negotiations, requiring a high degree of accountability, attention to detail, and initiative. The ideal candidate proactively identifies gaps, builds new tools and frameworks where none exist, and continuously improves the quality, efficiency, and reliability of Vaults financial analysis. Description of role: Commercial Analysis & Financial Modeling Build, maintain, and integrate detailed projectlevel financial models into standardized corporate and portfoliolevel models, with rigorous quality control and documentation. Act as the primary financial modeler for new commercial opportunities and transactions, particularly during active commercial negotiations where terms are evolving. Translate commercial agreements, term sheets, offtake agreements, and other contracts into modelready assumptions, accurately reflecting pricing mechanics, risk allocation, milestone triggers, and incentives. Model tax credit and incentive structures (e.g., U.S.45Q) and assess their impacts on project and portfoliolevel economics. Perform scenario, sensitivity, and downside analysis to support commercial negotiations, investment decisions, and risk management. Corporate Finance Support Perform and update corporate and projectlevel_rednessicles to support capital allocation, investment decisions, and external reporting. Own and maintain Vaults longterm corporate planning and forecasting letan (corporate rollup model), ensuring accurate integration of projectlevel and corporate assumptions. Lead preparation of Board and Asset Management Committee (AMC) materials, contributing to regular updates across Operations, Projects, Commercial, Business Development, and Finance. Respond to adhoc investor relations and lender information requests with clear, defensible analysis. CrossFunctional Integration & Process Building Partner closely with Business Development, Commercial, Legal, and Project teams to ensure financial models accurately reflect contractual, technical, and operational realities. Integrate individual project financial models, schedules,@Id=riummands into consolidated forecasts and management reporting. Design, build, and continuously improve standardized modeling templates, assumptions, controls, and governance processes to improve transparency, repeatability, and auditability. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; MBA/CFA considered an asset. 36 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or corporate development, preferably within energy, infrastructure, renewables, or carbon management. Demonstrated ability to build, audit, and own complex financial models from first principles, with exceptional attention to detail and errorchecking discipline. Strong capability to interpret commercial contracts and legal terms and translate them into accurate financial and risk models. Solid grasp of valuation methodologies (DCF, scenariobased valuation, sensitivity and downside analysis). Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI or similar tools is an asset. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain assumptions, risks, and outcomes to senior management and external stakeholders.
