Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate RECE Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones, and fostering a love for learning. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting focused on early childhood education, with an emphasis on curriculum development, classroom management, and individualized child care. The position is essential in promoting positive childhood experiences and supporting families through quality education and care. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, numeracy, social skills, and physical development. Plan and execute engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of children with diverse learning styles, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for toddlers, preschoolers, and young learners. Support children''s emotional and behavioral development through effective behavior management strategies. Facilitate activities that enhance childhood development such as physical education, arts and crafts, storytelling, and play-based learning. Monitor and assess children''s progress using standardized testing methods when appropriate; document developmental milestones. Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support child welfare initiatives. Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, assessments, and other classroom documentation. Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards related to childcare and daycare environments. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Requirements Valid RECE (Registered Early Childhood Educator) certification required. Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; preschool experience preferred. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Experience with curriculum development across various subjects including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods is desirable. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and inclusive teaching practices. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to plan lessons that incorporate standardized testing where applicable; experience in tutoring or teaching physical education is a plus. Knowledge of child welfare policies and practices related to daycare or private school environments. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
