Job Description

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Corporate Procurement. This position will support the Information Technology (IT) & Commercial pillar under Corporate Procurement. The category of spend managed within this pillar includes software, hardware, consulting and professional services, and contingent workforce globally for Nutrien.The Advisor role will be engaged to develop and execute plans for procuring services in line with Procurements targets, and provide strategic partnerships to buyers and internal stakeholders.This position is located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, or Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and is available for hybrid work (two (2) days in-office, three (3) days remotely).What you will do: Negotiate with suppliers and develop contracts with favorable terms and conditions Assess industry & supplier landscape by performing market research and supplier due diligence Gathering scopes of work, specifications, volumes, etc., to guide internal customer needs by developing RFx packages Coordination of internal stakeholders discussion on RFx package and evaluation Analyze RFx supplier proposals and bid evaluation results to make supplier selection recommendations Writing contract executive summaries & securing contract signatures Administration of contracts & amendments in the appropriate Nutrien contract management and sourcing systems (Ariba and Icertis) Resolving invoicing/payment issues with corporate buyers and suppliers Monitoring and tracking of contract & spend compliance & savings Assist in developing and executing the Corporate spend strategy in line with Nutrien Procurements objectives, Support the Corporate Procurement Management team with the development, planning, and implementation of Procurement initiatives impacting the Business Unit through indirect spend data subject matter expertise Act as a subject matter expert on indirect spend data (goods and services) and S2C/P2P Procurement process Understanding of Supplier Portal and SAP Ariba tools, systems, and processes and how they are integrated with all Systems (SAP/Oracle) Extracting, analyzing, and managing spend data from both SAP ECC & Oracle Work closely with peers (Corporate Procurement leads and advisors, Management Leads, Management Analysts, Governance & Enablement team) and Leadership Team to ensure the procurement S2P tool kit addresses customer needsWhat you will bring: Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field Certifications in disciplines such as Procurement (SCMP/CPSM), Lean / Six Sigma, or Operational Planning preferred Minimum five (5) years relevant industry experience with three (3) years experience in strategic sourcing and supply chain management. Experience with IT hardware/software, managed/consulting services, and value-added reseller (VAR) contracts preferred. Experience engaging in other corporate procurement areas (e.g. HR, Legal, Finance, Safety (SHE), etc.) also considered an asset. Experience in supply chain and procurement, including negotiations, strategy development and implementation, supplier relationships, contract management/development, forecasting, risk management, and S2P processes and tools. Strategic sourcing experience and capabilities S2C and P2P process Results-driven mindset and capabilities Motivated, high-energy, results-driven, and self-starter business mindset and capabilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with comfort working cross-functionally to gather information and resolve conflicts Clear and thorough understanding of, and practical experience with, enterprise asset management systems (SAP/Oracle), contract management tools (e.g., Ariba, Icertis, analysis & reports), data management tools, and S2P systems (eProcurement)Advanced MS Excel skills, PowerBI, and dashboarding experience would also be an asset High degree of ethics, discretion, honesty, fairness, and sound business practices to secure and maintain Nutriens reputation in the market
