Company Overview: We are a manufacturing company specializing in garage doors and components, with a plant located in Mississauga (L5T 1T7). Job Summary: We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team in Mississauga. This is a permanent, full-time position supporting ongoing maintenance and repair of production equipment and facility operations. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining existing machinery to ensure smooth production with minimal downtime. This role requires strong mechanical ability, experience with industrial equipment, and confidence working with tools and shop machines. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable working with roll formers, punch presses, riveters, spring winders, and general production equipment. The technician will work closely with the Supervisor and Production Manager to support daily operations and plant maintenance. Applicants must have legal authorization to work in Canada. References will be required. Key Responsibilities: Repair and maintain production equipment, including: o Roll formers o Punch presses o Riveters o Spring winders o Assembly and other plant machinery Perform troubleshooting and timely repairs on mechanical equipment Perform regular preventive maintenance Perform welding and operate a cutting torch as needed Use a wide range of hand and power tools, including: o Screwdrivers o Wrenches o Drills o Grinders o Saws Operate and support basic tool room equipment, including: o End mills o Lathes o Drill press Assist with general plant maintenance and equipment upkeep Operate a forklift safely when required Maintain and organize maintenance areas and tools Collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar maintenance/mechanical role within a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong hands-on mechanical repair experience Experience repairing industrial production equipment Good understanding of hand and power tools Must have hands-on welding experience and be able to safely use a cutting torch. Experience operating shop equipment such as lathes, end mills, and drill presses is an asset Basic knowledge of electricity and machine controls Forklift experience and valid license (or willingness to obtain) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Good communication and teamwork skills Dependable and safety-focused References will be required Working Conditions: Full-time hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Physically active role in a production environment Occasional overtime depending on operational needs Benefits: Health and vision insurance Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $47,800.00-$72,800.00 per year Benefits: Disability insurance Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Vision care Work Location: In person
