Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Boom Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate boom trucks and cranes to assist with building material handling and delivery to jobsite. This role requires excellent communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus to facilitate clear communication on diverse job sites. The Boom Operator plays a vital role in ensuring project efficiency and safety. Duties Operate boom trucks, cranes, and other lifting equipment safely and efficiently to move materials and equipment on construction sites. Perform tasks to secure loads properly before lifting. Communicate clearly with team members regarding lift plans, safety procedures, and project updates. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs. Assist with setup and breakdown of lifting operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards. Collaborate with construction crews, signalers, and supervisors to coordinate lifts and ensure smooth workflow. Maintain accurate documentation of lift activities and equipment usage. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations at all times. Requirements Proven experience operating drywall boom trucks, cranes, or similar heavy lifting equipment in construction or industrial settings. Mechanical knowledge related to crane operation, rigging, and equipment maintenance. Valid certification for crane or boom truck operation preferred; relevant licenses are a must. Ability to work in construction environments that may require physical labor and exposure to outdoor elements. Strong communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous for effective site coordination. Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy machinery operation and construction sites. Industry experience is highly mandatory/ Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to safety standards.
