Job Description

The Regina Area is seeking a General Obstetrician Gynecologist to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Regina, Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will establish an independent, fee-for-service practice and provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to the Regina area. This position requires a balanced generalist practice, with at least 50% of clinical work dedicated to obstetrical care, including intrapartum coverage, and the remainder focused on gynecological services. The physician will participate in shared on-call responsibilities, outpatient clinics, and scheduled operating room time. Physicians practice independently within a supportive, collegial, and patient-centered department. Call coverage is shared within a cooperative call group, and an on-call premium is provided for availability. Obstetrical and gynecological services are based at the Regina General Hospital, which supports approximately 3,800 deliveries annually, along with a corresponding volume of gynecologic surgery and care. Specialists are supported by a full complement of neonatal, pediatric medical, and pediatric surgical subspecialties, ensuring a complete continuum of care for women and newborns. The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is committed to education and professional development and works in partnership with the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. A teaching appointment with the College of Medicine is a requirement of this position.
