Overview Position: Pipefitter Apprentice - SaskPower Aspen Project Type: Industrial Project Location: SaskPower Aspen Site in Lanigan, Saskatchewan Shift: Day Schedule: Accommodations: LOA GC: Graham Allied Partner: Woodland Constructors Ltd Reference Number: 29645 Jardeg is recruiting for Pipefitters Apprentices'' for upcoming work at Woodland Constructors Ltd . Responsibilities include working with the Journeyperson to support pipefitting tasks at the site. Responsibilities Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machine Select type and size of pipe required Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools Weld, braze, cement, solder, and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system HDPE Fusion experience NPS 4''-20'' (with fusion tickets) and/or Vic Roll Grooving NPS 4''-24''; Install supports, valves, piping and control systems Test system for leaks using testing equipment Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system Involved in working with power tools and heavy equipment Requirements CSTS 2020 or SCOT WHMIS 2015 Fall Protection (OSSA Preferred) Confined Space (OSSA Preferred) Elevated Work Platform (OSSA Preferred) Journeyperson Certificate or be a registered Apprentice Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol testing is required Come and get your boots dirty With a significant presence in the construction, industrial maintenance, and turnaround sectors, Jardeg is the largest recruiter of skilled trades in Canada.
