Based in Vancouver, we pride ourselves on delivering our customers fast and affordable solutions for all their vision needs.Summary:The Merchant sits within the Product Team and partners closely with Design to deliver a commercially successful, customer-led eyewear assortment. This role translates customer insights, robust performance analytics, and business needs into a clear product business direction, ensuring that KITS frames, accessories, and other products and services operated by KITS align with financial targets and operational realities.You will inform Design by shaping briefs, validating concepts, and providing data-backed feedback on style, pricing, and assortment architecture. You will own ongoing performance analysis and outcomes, support replenishment logic, and drive access to key business inputs to inform product decisions across the lifecycle.What You Will Do:Ensure product assortments are directly aligned to the sales plan to support revenue and margin objectives.Partner with Design to inform product concepts, line plans, and assortment strategies.Leverage deep performance analytics (sales, margin, conversion, returns, etc) to inform product development pipeline.Own replenishment logic by translating demand signals into actionable product and inventory insights.Drive clarity and access to business need inputs, including financial targets, growth priorities, and customer segments.Inform pricing, margin strategy, and SKU optimization throughout the product lifecycle.Develop Assortment Strategy by proactively identifying and mapping product opportunities.Act as the primary commercial translator between Design/Production and Marketing/Sales, turning product features into market-ready commercial benefits.Ensure new and existing product collections are successfully supported and brought to market.Build and deploy an exposure framework for product collections using key exposure metrics.Secure opportunities to develop Premium product collections in line with business strategic needs.Drive and own sell-through by aligning inventory plans to demand and lifecycle expectations.Own end-to-end product lifecycle strategy, from initial investment through see-through.The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $91,000-130,000.
