With a focus on blending fashion-forward designs with promotional styles, we help businesses stay ahead of market trends and achieve success.Role DescriptionThis is a contract role for a Fashion Technical Designer / Product Developer based on-site in Milton, ON. The role involves creating and refining technical designs, overseeing garment construction, and conducting fittings to ensure proper fit, style, and quality. The individual will collaborate with the production team on pattern making and adjustments, ensure accurate garment specifications, and provide support in finalizing product designs. This professional will be responsible for maintaining high standards in the production process while ensuring all designs align with client requirements and market trends.QualificationsDesign & Collection DevelopmentLead seasonal collection design from concept sketches tech packs final samplesResearch trends, fabrics, colors, silhouettes, and target market directionTranslate brand direction into commercially viable stylesCreate original graphics, artworks, and print placements for garmentsDevelop, review, and approve prints, patterns, and embellishment layoutsTechnical Design & Product DevelopmentCreate detailed tech packs and specifications for overseas factoriesReview samples for fit, fabrics, finishes, prints, graphics, and construction qualityEnsure specs, grading, print placement, and quality standards are production-readyReview and approve lab dips, strike-offs, fits, prints, and pre-production samplesMaintain version control and documentation accuracy throughout developmentVendor & Production ManagementCommunicate consistently with overseas factories and domestic vendorsManage the full development calendar including sampling, approvals, and bulk readinessPartner with sourcing teams to meet cost, MOQ, and margin targetsProactively flag risks, delays, or discrepancies and provide solutionsQuality Control & ApprovalsConduct quality checks across samples, pre-production, and bulk readinessApprove or request revisions on color, print placement, graphics, trims, and constructionEnsure alignment between approved samples and final production output
