St. Pauls Hospitals GI Clinic performs over 9,000 endoscopic procedures annually and is one of the few centres in Western Canada offering advanced training in the detection and treatment of gastrointestinal lesions. As a Staff RN, you'll be at the forefront of patient care, working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure patients/residents receive comprehensive support. Your responsibilities will include: Assess patients' physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans. Incorporate teaching into care plans to educate patients and families. Make referrals to resources as needed. Support fellow healthcare professionals. What You Bring Education: Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives and currently practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives. Advanced preparation in GI Endoscopy that includes completion of recognized post-basic education in gastroenterology/GI endoscopy nursing and a certificate of completion from the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) in gastroenterology, or an equivalent combination of education NSK, training and experience. Preference given to those with recent related GI endoscopy experience. Skills and Abilities Strong clinical and diagnostic reasoning to complete assessments and deliver safe, effective nursing care. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Certified in CPR appropriate to service area. Effective time/resource management and ability to collaborate across disciplines.Strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Skilled in organizing and prioritizing workload. Able to interpret and integrate data from various sources. Effective interpersonal drauen in class skills and ability to provide clinical direction.
