Job Description Work location - 848 Read Dr, Summerside, PE Cavendish Agri Services supports farmers in growing healthy and productive crops. We have 7 manufacturing/retail locations serving Atlantic Canada. Our primary products include fertilizers, crop protectants and technical expertise. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Seasonal Class 3A Truck Driver will be a results-driven, self-starter who is always looking for opportunities for improvement, and has the ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic work environment. Job duration: It is a SEASONAL position from the end of April to mid June. Wages - $19 - $22 Responsibilities Perform vehicle inspections; clean and perform mandatory maintenance to equipment including basic troubleshooting. Haul fertilizer between the storage and production facilities. Use loader to fill up the dump truck. Ensure completion of paperwork. Work safely to avoid harm to yourself, customer''s property, co-workers, equipment, or inventory. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Perform all tasks with safety being the number one priority. Valid driver''s license of Class 3A or higher (Class 1) and clean driver abstract . Experience operating manual transmission. Availability to work extended hours, evenings and weekends. High degree of attention to detail. Previous experience applying fertilizer, crop protectants, and other treatment products and/or working in an agricultural environment would be an asset. Able to work well independently and follow safety, quality control, and operating procedures at all times. Attention to detail is essential. Able to communicate with customers in a professional manner. Able to speak, read, and write the English language proficiently. About Us Founded in 1882, J.D.
