The Capital Management Team within the Wireless Engineering and Construction group is essential to building our wireless infrastructure. Our success relies on proactive and rigorous capital management to ensure optimal business decisions. We are looking for a key team member with excellent skills in Financial Project Control to maintain strong governance and budgetary discipline within a highly dynamic and technical environment. What youll do As a Business Consultant, you will be part of the team responsible for managing and controlling a strategic, high-profile project portfolio. You will report to the Director, Capital Management. Your primary mission will be to: Manage the Capital Expenditure (Capex) envelope for a project portfolio. Ensure sound financial governance and the optimization of invested capital. Support continuous improvement of financial management processes. Your Responsibilities Capex Management: Manage and control capital spending for network construction and maintenance projects (Eastern Canada Region) Forecasting: Coordinate with network deployment teams to establish accurate and detailed monthly Capex forecasts Variance Analysis: Identify, minimize budget variances, and develop action plans to resolve related issues Reporting & Communication: Lead regular meetings to communicate financial results to project management teams. Provide clear explanations of variances to senior management Budget Control: Manage plan changes and ensure overall control of the investment budget Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed cost analyses and maintain master budget tracking sheets Tools: Effectively utilize project tracking systems, Excel/Google Sheets, and relevant SAP modules (PS, MM, FI), MS Project, and other related tools Qualifications What You Bring Advanced Analytical Skills: Ability to synthesize large volumes of financial data into clear, actionable conclusions Presentation Skills: Demonstrated ability to present results and analyses to senior leadership Strategic Vision: Aptitude for connecting the dots and seeing the big picture while mastering the details Organization & Rigor: Excellent time management, organizational effectiveness, and meticulous attention to detail Teamwork & Autonomy: Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently to meet deadlines Positive Attitude: Fostering a productive and positive work environment 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in project management, financial project control, and business analysis Bilingualism (English/French) is required Bachelor''''s Degree in Engineering, Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field Great-to-haves Knowledge of the SAP PS module Experience in the telecommunications industry Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position''''s main responsibilities given its national scope.
