In this role, youll lead the Business Banking Division, providing vision, operational oversight, and succession planning to ensure Coastal Communitys continued growth and success. This opportunity offers the ability to work remotely from anywhere in British Columbia. Whats the role? As our Senior Vice President (SVP), Business Banking , youll report to the Chief Relationship and Growth Officer and lead the Business Banking Division. In this role, youll set the strategic direction, provide operational leadership, and coach and develop the Business Banking leadership team. Youll drive sales and service initiatives, strengthen member satisfaction, boost employee engagement, and manage riskall while ensuring financial targets are met. Youll shape longterm growth strategies across divisions and lead business banking teams to deliver results that matter. Your leadership will empower senior managers to execute business plans that enhance community connections, improve efficiency, and elevate overall division performance. Responsibilities Set direction & deliver outcomes Define divisional strategy and annual objectives; ensure alignment with risk management, capital adequacy, and corporate priorities. Strengthen operations & controls Maintain robust processes for credit, operational, reputational, and regulatory risk; uphold audit and policy compliance standards in line with enhanced three lines of defense requirements. Lead leaders Coach, develop, and performancemanage the Business Banking senior management team; build a culture of collaboration, innovation, and engagement. Grow the business Identify opportunities, cultivate market relationships, and drive portfolio growth; develop and manage divisional business plans and budgets. Elevate sales & service Oversee quality controls, underwriting discipline, delinquency management, documentation, and regulatory requirements to meet financial goals and enhance member experience. Collaborate at the executive level Serve on key committees and lead or participate in corporate projects, offering strategic guidance on service delivery. What are we looking for? Successful completion of a Bachelors Degree in a related discipline (e.g., Commerce or Business Administration); advanced degree preferred. Minimum ten (10) years of progressive experience managing a financial services environment, including complex loan portfolios and business development. Advanced knowledge of business lending, regulatory requirements, and commercial services operations. Proven ability to lead strategic planning, motivate teams, and deliver results in a competitive financial marketplace. Deep understanding of credit union operations, principles, and values. Career Band Range (Annual Salary) - $153,407.00 to $193,500.00 The posted salary range is designed to reflect a broad career band, encompassing a variety of roles within our organization and serves as a general guideline.
