Emmanuel Baptist Church Huron County, Ontario https://www.myebc.ca/ Position: Associate Pastor or Ministry Director Overview We are a reformed, complementarian, word-driven church that seeks to see more healthy churches planted across our region. We exist to make disciples of Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to the glory of God the Father. Our goals can be summed up in three words: Know, Grow, & Go. We teach the Bible to help people know Christ, grow in relationship with Christ, and go on mission with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our vision includes training families to know, grow, and serve, with a focus on youth and family ministry as a key avenue for planting churches in our region. The Scope The Youth Director will be responsible for the oversight and teaching of all youth ministries. He will lead, administer, and teach our Jr. and Sr. youth in midweek programs and Sunday School. He will oversee our Kids and Teen Day Camp in the summer, and supervise our Impact Workers and Summer Staff. He will maintain personal relationships with Emmanuel members to provide care and discipleship as needed. He will work alongside the Pastors in other duties (preaching, visitations, etc.). This role could be a pathway toward future Lead Pastor responsibilities as we plant more churches in our area, with the aim of the applicant potentially planting a church in 510 years. Time Frame & Hours: This is a full-time salaried position based on education and experience. Job Qualifications Faith & Character The Youth Director must be a professing believer in Jesus Christ and actively following Christ with their life (not perfectly, but directionally). Demonstrates a commitment to the local church. Must support and abide by the Statement of Faith of EBC. Character values: a deep love for Christ, humility, responsibility, joyfulness, servant-heartedness, and a passion for youth and families. Logistics & Availability Must have a current or obtain a police check on file at EBC. Willing to abide by the EBC Plan to Protect Policy. Must be 18 years or older. Must be willing to relocate to Huron County.
