The Regional Manager, MD Financial, is responsible for the development and achievement of defined business priorities for their teams through the profitable delivery of superior client service and holistic wealth solutions to physician clients and their families. This position leads, coaches and oversees a team of Wealth Advisors and support staff, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Responsibilities Lead and drive a customer-focused culture throughout the team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Supervise and manage performance of advisors to ensure adoption, sustainment and effective use of contact and sales planning tools. Partner with the Region Head to create, develop and maintain high-performing sales teams; lead regional employees in the implementation and adoption of new products and sales initiatives; ensure an optimal employee and client experience; lead reward and recognition activities within the region. Identify appropriate team-based solutions and collaborate with the Region Head and sales teams to address productivity deficiencies. Ensure compliance with MD standards, policies and procedures; identify and implement action plans to address deficiencies; manage escalated client complaints in a timely and customer-focused manner. Direct day-to-day activities in line with the Banks risk culture and risk appetite; communicate the Banks risk culture and risk appetite throughout the team. Create an environment that pursues effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabanks Values, Code of Conduct and Global Sales Principles; ensure day-to-day business controls meet obligations related to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. Build a high-performance environment with a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates the team; foster an inclusive work environment; coach and develop succession planning. Understand how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should influence day-to-day activities and decisions. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 7 years experience in the financial services industry in a leadership role, coupled with a university degree. Must successfully complete the Supervisor Exam, one of CIROs nine proficiency exams. Supervisors must have a minimum of two years of relevant experience; the dealer assesses experience to ensure relevance to the supervisory role and products/services supervised. Mandatory conduct training will be required upon approval. Hold the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
