THE ROLE Hybrid Etobicoke, ON | Minimum 2 days in-office Salary Range: $60,000 - $85,000 This role is ideal for a highly skilled accounting professional who enjoys ownership, complexity, and impact in a fast-growing, multi-entity fintech environment. Senior Corporate Accountant will play a key role in overseeing full-cycle accounting across multiple legal entities and currencies, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and strong internal controls. You will act as a subject-matter expert within the Finance team, support audits and compliance initiatives, and contribute to process improvements as the organization continues to scale. This is a handson role with increased responsibility, visibility, and collaboration with Finance leadership. WHAT YOULL BE DOING Perform full-cycle accounting duties for a group of companies, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness Review and approve journal entries supported by detailed account reconciliations and appropriate backup documentation Prepare schedules, working papers, supporting documents, and financial analysis to support financial statements, audits, FP&A, and special projects Assist with delivering monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close procedures, including review and variance analysis Audit, monitor, and report on high-volume crypto and cash activity using key internal systems and tools Review daily CashinTransit (CIT) balances and proactively investigate and escape outstanding cash issues with Finance and CIT partners Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger across all entities Process banking, crypto, and other financial transactions for review and approval by the Finance team and Executives Uphold, maintain, and continuously improve accounting policies and documentation related to revenue, cost of sales, inventory, fixed assets, loans, and other key accounting areas in accordance with ASPE, US GAAP, and IFRS Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal government reporting, licensing, and tax requirements Act as a key contributor and point of contact for external and statutory audit engagements Provide support, guidance, and informal mentorship to junior members as needed Lead process optimization, automation initiatives, and adhoc analysis as requested by the business WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR Selfdriven and accountable You take ownership of outcomes and see work through end to end Strong critical thinker and problemsolver You can navigate complex accounting issues and recommend solutions Detailoriented with strong judgment You balance accuracy with efficiency and business impact Collaborative team player You work effectively across Finance, Operations, and leadership Confident communicator You can clearly explain financial information to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders Adaptable and resilient You thrive in a fastpaced, evolving environment EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS 45 years of progressive accounting experience CPA designation (completed or actively in progress) Strong experience across the full accounting cycle Postsecondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Experience working in a multientity environment BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Background in fintech, crypto, or highgrowth technology environments Handson experience with cryptocurrency transactions or digital assets Experience working in multientity and multicurrency environments Exposure to audit leadership or audit preparation in prior roles WHY JOIN LOCALCOIN?
