The opportunity As a Tax Manager, you will be part of our Private Tax practice and work with a team of subjectmatter specialists advising private organizations and highnetworth individuals on domestic and crossborder tax planning, estate, wealth transfer, and philanthropic strategy. Our practice collaborates closely with transaction and international tax teams. Your Key Responsibilities Recommend and implement tax strategies that align with client objectives. Correspond with legal counsel and tax authorities on client matters. Assist with reorganizations and research compliance and planning issues. Review personal, corporate, and trust tax returns. Skills and Attributes for Success Identify planning opportunities and prepare correspondence describing incometax implications of transactions. Research client issues using a variety of online sources. Liaise with client legal counsel and Canada Revenue Agency. Review personal, trust, and corporate tax returns. Correspond with audit managers, staff, and clients regarding specific tax queries. Prepare tax election forms. Assist and manage the administration of personal and trust tax compliance seasons. To qualify for the role, you must have An undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or a related field. 5+ years of relevant tax experience or equivalent business/industry experience. Canadian CPA designation. Completed CPA InDepth Tax Courses (or equivalent) good to have. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Strong organization and timemanagement skills. Ideally, youll also Be able to thrive in a fastpaced, professional services environment. Wellbeing benefit of $1,200 per year. The salary range for this position in British Columbia is $92,000 to $144,000, based on education, experience, skills, and location.
