Position Description The Accounting Process Lead oversees and optimizes the accounting processes within Lenovo. You will report to the North America Accounting Operations Manager. The role involves ensuring compliance with accounting standards, improving efficiency in financial operations, and delivering accurate financial reporting. The Lead acts as a liaison between various departments, ensuring that accounting practices align with organizational goals and regulations while implementing best practices that drive efficiency, compliance, change management, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Oversee the performance of the COS (Center of Scale) team in executing RTR (Record to Report) processes including fixed asset, bank/cash, expense, payroll, revenue cost, inventory, warranty, manufacturing accounting, intercompany, closing activities, manual journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliation. Provide direct support for North America accounting operations, troubleshooting process issues, coordinating with local and global teams, and ensuring timely and accurate monthend and yearend close activities. Support monthly close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Review and approve manual journal entries prepared by the outsourced shared services team, posting entries when required. Ensure alignment with IFRS/US GAAP, corporate accounting policies, and local statutory requirements. Maintain oversight of internal controls to minimize compliance gaps. Partner with outsourced shared services teams to ensure deliverables are auditready. Provide external auditors timely responses, ensuring audit readiness posture. Lead or participate in financerelated projects with WW Accounting and IT, including system implementations, process reengineering/standardization, and automation initiatives within the NA Geo support change management activities related to project rollouts. Basic Qualifications 7 years of experience in finance, accounting operations, FPA, treasury, analytics and reporting. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. 2+ years of experience working as a team leader or manager. Preferred Qualifications 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting operations, FPA, treasury, analytics, and reporting. Ability to work as part of a crosscultural team with flexibility to support multiple time zones. Previous experience in multinational companies with complex trade and intercompany transactions and working with technology that enables finance functions. Strong knowledge of ERP, preferably SAP ECC and SAP S/4 HANA. Proficiency in change management skills to successfully navigate transitions that affect financial processes. Problemsolving skills, proactive, creative, and cando attitude. Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment, adjusting processes and strategies in response to changing business needs. Leadership skills and ability to multitask within a fastpaced dynamic workplace. Strong communication skills including extensive experience dealing with various stakeholders. Exposure to outsourced shared services teams or shared service centers preferred. Strong customer focus and ability to build relationships internally and externally. Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a CPA/CA designation is highly preferred. The base salary budgeted range for this position is $6585k CAD.
