Locum Rheumatologist for Community Practice with opportunity to stay Overview Locum Short-term Part-or-Full-Time This is an excellent locum opportunity for 1 year with the possibility to stay on for 1-1.5 days per week after locum coverage has ended. The locum will replace a physician going on maternity leave. The Ability Clinic is a well organized and established multi-disciplinary clinic. The locum would be managing an established roster of rheumatology patients and seeing new consults which are distributed evenly between the locum and one other rheumatologist at the clinic. Our Clinic The Ability Clinic is a multi-disciplinary clinic with rheumatology, neurology, physiatry and internal medicine on site. EMG is also performed on site by physiatry. There is also physiotherapy, chiropractic therapy, massage therapy and DEXA scanning for patients. The locum physician would have the use of one clinical exam room during clinic hours with a clinic manager and 5 administrative staff who share administrative duties for all the physicians and allied health professionals. There is also a core charting area with computer and Dragon access for dictation. There is a dermatology clinic within the same building as well as a pharmacy. The clinic is approximately 8 minutes drive from Mississauga Hospital and 10 minutes drive from The Queensway Health Centre each equipped with walk-in x-ray services. There are several LifeLabs locations also within 10 minutes drive from the clinic. Our Location The Ability Clinic is located in Mississauga in a medical arts building. The clinic is easily accessible via QEW with plenty of parking on site. Access to the clinic is easy from both Toronto and Oakville/Hamilton region. There is a bakery/cafe nearby as well as several restaurants. The clinic is also approximately 10 minutes drive to the nearby shopping mall Sherway Gardens and approximately 15 minutes drive to the scenic Port Credit. Mississauga is a bustling city with plenty of attractions and is a safe and dynamic residential community. The clinic is well situated for a locum based either within Mississauga or commuting from outside Mississauga due to its location and proximity to the QEW. #J-18808-Ljbffr
