A well-established and respected construction firm in PEI is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to take full ownership of day-to-day site operations on active construction projects. This is a hands-on, site-based leadership role requiring strong coordination skills, a proactive mindset, and absolute accountability for safety, quality, and execution.The OpportunityAs Site Superintendent, you will be the primary on-site representative, responsible for maintaining full control of site activities, trade coordination, safety, organization, and short-term scheduling. This role is ideal for a Superintendent who takes pride in running a clean, safe, well-organized site and anticipates issues before they become problems.Key ResponsibilitiesSite Leadership & AccountabilityAct as the primary on-site representative and point of contactMaintain full responsibility for all on-site activities and trade coordinationEnsure the site is safe, secure, clean, and fully prepared for daily operationsLead trade foremen with professionalism, firmness, and respectSafety, Security & OrganizationMaintain 100% accountability for jobsite safety and securityConduct daily site walks to identify and correct hazards or deficienciesEnforce safety policies consistently across all tradesCoordinate third-party safety inspections and ensure timely corrective actionProject Coordination & SchedulingExecute the master project schedule in collaboration with the Project ManagerDevelop and manage rolling two-week lookahead schedulesConduct daily coordination meetings with trade foremenMonitor manpower, productivity, and attendance across all tradesProactively identify and communicate schedule risks with mitigation strategiesDrawings, Scope & Quality ControlMaintain a thorough working knowledge of drawings, specifications, and approved shop drawingsEnsure all work aligns with contract documents and scopes of workIdentify constructability issues, scope gaps, and coordination conflicts earlyInspect work in progress and manage deficiencies through completionDocumentation & CommunicationComplete accurate daily site reports and logsMaintain organized site documentation including drawings, schedules, safety records, and change documentationMaintain current as-built / redline drawingsSupport inspections by consultants, engineers, and authorities having jurisdictionMaterials & Site LogisticsPlan and coordinate material deliveries and site logisticsEnsure materials are received, stored, protected, and sequenced efficientlyMaintain clear laydown areas and organized material flowQualifications & ExperienceProven experience as a Site Superintendent on commercial or industrial construction projectsStrong leadership and trade coordination skillsDeep understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and site operationsDemonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and schedule adherenceStrong communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilitiesComfortable using construction management software (e.g., Procore or similar)Why Consider This RoleHigh level of autonomy and responsibilityOpportunity to lead complex projects from the front linesWork with a professional, organized, and quality-driven construction teamCompetitive compensation package (details shared with qualified candidates)
