Responsibilities also include the overall safety and security of the clients and facility, documentation and shift reporting.QualificationsCollege Diploma in Social Services or equivalentMinimum three years working experience in addictions and behavioral counselingExperience and knowledge of addictions, including treatment modalities and pharmacology; mental health services; case management (assessment, goal setting, treatment planning, aftercare planning and referral); individual and group counseling; and development and delivery of psycho-educational sessionsMust be able to work in emotionally charged environment at times characterized by high stressDemonstrated ability to handle a large and diversified workload with often rapidly changing prioritiesDemonstrated ability in community and conflict managementExperience in delivery of psycho-educational sessions and process groups requiredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office ProgramsEvidence of effective organizational, interpersonal, communication, judgment and decision-making skillsAbility to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary teamFlexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervisionThe successful applicant will be required to work (1) one evening shift each week to conduct a support group and will provide individual support to members as neededConsistent and regular attendance requiredProficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an assetHow to ApplyIf you are interested in this position, please visit our careers page by 11:59pm September 15, 2025 and submit an application through eRecruit.
