Ganotec typically self performs all major disciplines including civil, structural steel erection, heavy mechanical equipment installation, process piping and electrical / instrumentation and controls. Location This Superintendent position supports flyin/flyout opportunities across Western Canada. The role operates on a flyin/flyout rotation, with the option of temporary relocation depending on project requirements. Candidates must be open to these arrangements to effectively support the allocation and management of project resources across multiple project locations. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate crew activities to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines. Support the development and implementation of comprehensive project plans and schedules in collaboration with project management teams. Monitor daily operations within assigned disciplines, conducting thorough inspections to maintain quality, safety, and compliance standards. Deliver job site safety training and promote a culture of safety awareness among all personnel to minimize risks and incidents. Manage and control project budgets by enforcing cost control measures and proactively addressing potential financial impacts. Establish and enforce rigorous quality standards to ensure all work meets or exceeds contractual and regulatory requirements. Facilitate communication across teams, resolve operational challenges promptly, and adapt to changing project conditions with agility and professionalism. Qualifications Minimum of 8 years of construction industry experience with at least 3 years in a superintendent or equivalent leadership position, preferably within mechanical, electrical, structural or piping disciplines. Proven capability to supervise multiple technical trades, including steel erection, piping, and mechanical systems, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of complex construction processes. Selfmotivated individual capable of working independently with strong decisionmaking skills and initiative. Ability to quickly assimilate Ganotecs policies, procedures, and software tools essential for project management and reporting. Demonstrated aptitude for problemsolving, capable of anticipatory thinking and effective resolution of onsite issues. Outstanding organizational skills paired with strong communication and interpersonal abilities to lead diverse teams and foster collaborative working relationships. Extensive experience in leadership roles encompassing safety management, contractual negotiations, planning, and administration, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and compliantly.
