Overview We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. We are looking to hire someone for 2 or 3 days a week (either Tuesdays-Thursdays or Wednesdays and Thursdays) We are a locally owned small business with a friendly and supportive work atmosphere. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role is essential in ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate record-keeping, and excellent customer service. Prior experience with dental office procedures, along with proficiency in Cleardent, is highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment dedicated to patient care and administrative excellence. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and check them in efficiently. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments while managing multi-line phone systems to handle inquiries professionally. Verify patient insurance information and process payments accurately at the front desk. Maintain organized patient records, ensuring all documentation complies with privacy regulations. Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, and managing correspondence. Coordinate communication between patients, dental staff, and insurance providers to facilitate smooth operations. Handle front desk duties such as answering phones, managing appointment reminders, and addressing patient questions courteously. Requirements Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting is preferred. Proficiency with Cleardent is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care. Experience working with electronic medical records systems and maintaining accurate documentation. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication skills for interacting professionally with patients and team members. Office experience including handling multi-line phone systems, front desk operations, and administrative tasks. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a friendly manner that promotes positive patient experiences.
