Job Description: The Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for testing, inspecting, verifying, installing, and servicing fire alarm systems and associated life-safety devices in accordance with applicable codes and company standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring fire alarm systems function reliably to protect people, property, and assets. Key Responsibilities: Perform testing, inspection, verification, installing, and servicing of fire alarm systems and related devices. Inspect installation sites, review work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine tools and installation procedures. Test, troubleshoot, and repair circuits, sensors, and system components according to wiring and system specifications. Demonstrate system operations for customers and clearly explain functions, including causes and prevention of false alarms. Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and national fire and security codes and standards. Maintainaccuratedocumentation of service activities, inspection reports, and system test results. Adhere to all company safety procedures and promote a safe work environment. Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by your manager. Qualifications & Requirements: Valid CFAA License (Canadian Fire Alarm Association). Previous experience working with fire alarms, emergency lighting, monitoring, or security systems preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Valid driver''s license and clean driving record preferred. Physical Requirements: Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, stand prolonged periods of time, lift 35 lbs, and other requirements common to a CFAA Technician. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements. Overnight travel may be required. Differentiate color coding of cables.
