We''d love to hear from you ROLE The EWRB Reporting & Energy Analytics Assistant (Contract) will support Provident''s Energy Management team in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant EWRB submissions for a diverse portfolio of multi-residential and commercial buildings. This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world energy data, regulatory reporting, and modern energy management platforms, while working alongside experienced professionals in building automation and analytics. This is a fixed-term contract position from approximately May August weeks). Hybrid (GTA) (Office, remote work, and optional site exposure depending on project needs). RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: EWRB & Regulatory Reporting Support annual Ontario EWRB compliance for assigned buildings Compile, validate, and organize electricity, natural gas, and water consumption data Assist with uploading and verifying data in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager Maintain clear records of data sources, assumptions, and reporting status Support internal quality checks prior to final EWRB submissions Energy Data & Analytics Support Extract and review utility and sub-metering data from multiple sources Identify missing data, anomalies, or unusual consumption patterns Assist with year-over-year energy comparisons and benchmarking summaries Help prepare internal dashboards, tables, and visual summaries for clients Documentation & Process Support Assist in maintaining PEMI''s standardized reporting templates and procedures Organize digital records in accordance with internal data governance practices Support responses to client or internal data clarification requests Learning & Professional Exposure Gain exposure to Building Automation Systems (BAS) and smart building platforms Learn how data-driven energy management supports operational and financial outcomes Participate in team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions Optional exposure to live buildings, energy dashboards, and automation systems REQUIREMENTS Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (Engineering, Energy Systems, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Data Analytics, or related field) Strong attention to detail and comfort working with large data sets Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (sorting, formulas, pivot tables preferred) Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently while following established processes Preferred Interest in energy management, sustainability, or smart buildings Familiarity with ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager (or willingness to learn) Experience with data visualization or analytics tools Basic understanding of utilities or building systems WORKING CONDITIONS Office environment with frequent sitting at desk. Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals. Lifting or moving up to 10lbs may be required.
